Anthony Mena is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Providence, RI who attends Bishop Hendricken. XL frame with physical, strong build. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.54 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, methodical tempo to operation, disjointed arm action through the back and through release, fastball works 67-71 mph with flashes of some sink, shows ability to control the zone, mixed in soft curveball with gradual depth, did a solid job of throwing strikes and pitching to contact. Switch-hitter, hits from even-based stance from right side, low back elbow set, all upper body swing with limited lower half incorporation. Similar set from the left side, looks more natural lefthanded, generates some bat speed, showed contact skill from both sides.
