Matt Cefola is a 2021 RHP/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Tomkins Cove, NY who attends Albertus Magnus. Slender young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Simple and repeatable pitching mechanics, stays compact with a good gather over the rubber and good direction down the mound, over the top arm slot creates good angle to his pitches and good extension out front. Mid-70's fastball, has topped out at 78 mph at PG events this summer, worked to the glove side well with his fastball and stayed outside to right handed hitters. Short 12/6 downer curveball was landed for strikes consistently and he worked ahead in the count his whole outing. Will continue to improve his raw stuff as he gets stronger but already has the mechanics. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly crouched open stance, rotational upper body swing, middle of the field contact. 7.59 runner.
