Andrew Vance is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Morrow, OH who attends Cincinnati Country Day. Large physical build. Primary pitcher, has a deceptive short arm action from a three-quarters to high three-quarters slot. Stays compact through his motion and turns slightly closed at the top of his mid leg lift. 75-80 mph fastball as well as a 75 mph cutter with intent. He also mixes in a 72 mph straight change. At first base, his glove works well to both sides and he stays in front of the ball well. Understands his footwork off the bag and he's meticulous with his fielding actions. At the plate, uses an upright and open stance with a heavy linear weight shift in the box. Flashed plus power to all fields as his heavy linear weight shift creates strong leverage in his swing. Flat barrel plane through the zone with a middle to pull side approach. Great student in the classroom as well.
