James Ingrassia is a 2022 C/1B, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Morristown, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Recorded a 7.26 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary catcher with solid overall catch-and-throw skill set, soft receiving hands and quick step replace footwork to get out of his crouch. Side-saddled starting stance with round mid-line transfers into a shorter arm action that produced online and accurate throws to the bag. Recorded throws up to 70 miles per hour from behind the plate in drills. Right-handed hitter, hits from an open stance with lower hand load and rotational lower half mechanics. Middle-of-the field approach with tendency for best impact to be to the pull-side due to slightly round and upward swing path. Does exhibit fairly decent bat-to-ball skills and will continue to improve with the proper swing adjustments and addition of more strength as he matures. Excellent Student.
