Brock Toothaker is a 2021 SS/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Clearwater, KS who attends Clearwater. Athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.33 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed clean footwork while working around the ball. Flashed athletic actions working to and through the baseball to go along with good range working to both sides of the infield. Displayed quick transfers into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 73 mph to first base. Also worked out defensively at catcher. Employs a side saddle start with confident receiving actions. Flashed quick footwork working from behind the plate gaining ground well towards second base. Displayed clean transfers into throws with developing arm strength topping out at 69 mph and posting a 2.11 second pop time to second base. Right handed hitter. Employs an upright open stance with a high hand and back elbow set up and a leg lift trigger. Utilizes a gap to gap approach looking to lift fly balls to and through the gaps in the outfield. Showed the ability to work the barrel out front with good bat speed creating loud contact to the pull side when on time and squared. Great student.
