Timmy Trenkle is a 2021 RHP/C, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Orcutt, CA who attends Valley Christian Academy. Large build, primary pitcher with a shorter arm action. High three-quarters slot, uses a side step rock with a high leg lift, front hip turns closed slightly at apex. Good direction down the hill. 71-76 mph fastball possesses some sink and downward angle. 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball is still developing solid biting actions. Pitch shows some depth and he has a solid all around feel for it. From the infield, showcases solid glove work to both sides. Arm is solid across the diamond. Shows an sbility to cover some ground into either hole and not afraid to be aggressive on initial reads. At the plate, uses a spread stance with a very deep hand load. Finds some hand coil from the deep hand load as well. Longer stroke with multiple toe taps as a timing mechanism. Generates some lift and launch angle. Heavy weight shift in the box parallels the hand load. Excellent student with a 4.12 GPA.
