Adrien Tapia is a 2005 outfielder from Miami Florida with a strong mature build at 5 ft. 11 180 pounds. He is a switch hitter. LH: He has a long swing with decent extension out front. He has a slight wrap, but showed good bat speed with a lofted plane. RH: He has a similar long swing with good bat speed, and a more pull style approach. He has good gap to gap power potential from both sides, and hits the ball hard with solid contact. Defensively, he has a quick arm with slightly stiff actions. He showed some arm strength at 81 mph from the outfield with good accuracy and carry. He has good range and showed foot speed with a 7.00 in the 60. He has solid tools and he will be an interesting player to follow in 2006. Adrien is a very good student.
