Kevin Soto is a 2022 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Kaufman, TX who attends Kaufman. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a busy load that can leave him out of position to start his swing, wrapped barrel start, swings hard and looks to drive the ball, creates some occasional jump when out front and pulling the ball, downward to line drive swing plane, like the aggressiveness in his swing approach and should keep improving with strength. 7.84 runner, is aggressive on the bases. Young footwork and actions defensively, throws from a lower slot that costs him carry. Also pitched, side step delivery, stays in line towards the plate with drop and drive mechanics, 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, best at higher slots when he's on top of the ball. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, throws a soft small slider as his breaking ball.
