Ayden Rygiel is a 2022 OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Point Loma. Medium slender build with room to fill out as he progresses. Posted a 7.38 second sixty yard dash time. Primary outfielder, reads the baseball well and works hard to it. Has a tough time gathering the baseball cleanly but is simple and quick when he does. Fields out to his side and finds decent carry on his throws to the plate. Uses a slightly crouched an upright stance with a mid leg kick trigger at the plate. Finds good shoulder rotation forcing his barrel on plane quickly at launch. Elbow works hard into the slot but hands are still developing extension which causes his barrel to hook through the zone. Looks to work his pull side. Slightly elevated barrel plane, solid pop when barreled. Great student with a 3.8 GPA.
