Stephen Nardelli is a 2023 C/UT with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Brockton, MA who attends Cardinal Spellman. Recorded a 7.63 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary catcher with a developing catch-and-throw skill set; receives from a high side-saddled stance with segmented actions out of the crouch and to transfer. Exhibits the ability to gain ground towards his target with deliberate footwork, while working into a compact arm action and release. Recorded arm strength up to 69 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and a hover trigger for timing. Lofted stroke with elongated upward swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Upper-body drive swing with mostly pull-side intent and occasional line drive impact. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound prospect with plenty of projection remaining. Excellent Student.
