Cody Schu is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Ball Ground, GA who attends Creekview. He ran a 7.69 second sixty a primary first baseman with a large build. At first base he showed confidence in the glove working well out front, shuffles into his throws with developing arm strength on th e throws across the diamond. On the mound he works with a good tempo filling up the zone with a fastball in the 68-73 mph range from a three-quarters arm slot and showed the ability to hold runners. Left-handed hitter, starts with a narrow stance, creates some nice leverage when he gets into his back side and finishes high, works best to the pull side with some quickness in the hands that showed in game action. Very good student.
