Jake Curneen is a 2025 OF/MIF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Lakewood, CA who attends Gahr. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a quick first step in actions and moves well to the ball, short and compact arm action, developing carry to intended base but will continue to improve with added momentum, will continue to improve, made a nice diving catch in left field during live action. Similar compact arm action in the infield, some effort at out hand, will refine a consistent release point, short steps on the charge. Left-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and square stance in the box with a high back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing with a full path through the zone. Contact oriented approach, gets closed moving into contact and gets the barrel out front at the point of contact, projects with added strength. Very good student.
