Luis Quintero Madriz is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Rosharon, TX who attends Shadow Creek. Large frame with big, physical build; strength throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, long arm stroke through the back, extends well over front side, repeats delivery well, three quarters arm slot with smooth release, fastball worked 80-84 mph with very good control of the pitch, works it to both sides of the plate successfully, pitched with fastball-only approach in his time on the mound. Hits from upright and open stance, keeps swing compact with a simple approach, impacted the baseball out front and shows good strength off the barrel, extends well and worked gap-to-gap. Worked out in the infield, hands work out front, more stationary actions, clocked up to 83 mph on throws across. Excellent student.
