Jake Reker is a 2019 RHP/ with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Ponderosa. Athletic build with room to fill out. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step to a quick belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and falling off slightly to the first base side at finish. Uses a medium loose arm action in the back going to a mid three-quarter arm slot at release with good arm speed. Displayed athletic, explosive actions throughout the entire delivery. Utilizes a three pitch mix thrown for consistent strikes in any count. Showed a fastball with good control to both sides of the plate up to 81 MPH complemented by a 10/4 curveball with good depth thrown for consistent strikes up to 65 MPH and a sinking change up at 72 MPH.
