Caleb Simmons is a 2023 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Cleveland, GA who attends White County. Large and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 9.62 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded hitter, low effort crossfire delivery, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays compact with his delivery overall with developing arm speed and arm strength currently. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, flashes sinking action to the heater, mixes in a curveball with depth in the upper-50s to low-60s, can continue to improve command of two pitch combination with additional reps on the bump. Secondary first baseman, sits back on the baseball and the glove plays around the bag. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance and a high hand set, long swing path with a line drive plane, present hand-eye and creates separation, shift well with his lower half and will continue to improve bat speed and strength with maturity.
