Colton Adams is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Severna Park, MD who attends Severna Park. Recorded a 5.00 second 40-yd dash time. Slender build with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out. Primary left-handed pitcher with a smooth, easy arm action and good upside on the mound. Simple side-step rocker into balance, working into a loose over-the-top arm slot with length on the backside. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s, topping out at 78 mph, with good life and command to both sides of the plate. Varies timing by adding and subtracting with fastball, mixing in two potential plus secondary offerings. Curveball shows 12-to-6 shape with good depth and tilt while flashing developing changeup with well maintained arm speed and depth. Upside on the mound is vast with continued refinement and added strength. Secondary outfielder with clean footwork and fundamentally sound fielding mechanics. Tends to wait on the ball slightly, working into a clean gather while gaining momentum into his release. Uses a long, loose arm action with arm strength recorded up to 81 mph. Left-handed hitter with a narrow stance, high hand set and elongated hover trigger. Contact oriented stroke with long, inside path and well engaged lower half. Shows ability to make adjustments and get the barrel out occasionally with some pull-side impact. Intriguing upside on the mound that will continue to garner a follow as he matures. Excellent Student.
