Chris Steele is a 2005 shortstop from Castro Valley, California. He has an average frame and build with a lively body. He has room for adding muscle and not restricting his present tools. Steele has good, quick, soft hands, and is able to handle all the plays with good transfers. He has a short, accurate release, and can change directions to handle the MIF. He hits from an average base with high hands, and sprays the ball to all fields. He projects to be a good early portion of the lineup type situational hitter. Steele is a patient hitter that looks confident at the plate. He shows a good feel for the game. Chris is a good student.
