Taylor Wax is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Prairieville LA, who attends Parkview Baptist. Wax has a lean body with a good athletic build. Wax pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with an easy arm action. He has good mechanics and has no apparent mechanical flaws in his delivery. His arm works well and throws with low effort. Wax has an online delivery and maintains good balance throughout. He gets sink on his fastball and gets some life on it in the zone. He also throws a sharp curveball with depth. With the way his mechanics work and his arm works, he projects to gain velocity as his body matures and he makes strength gains. At the plate, Wax has a simple swing and maintains good balance. He has a quiet approach and loads his hands well to start his swing. Defensively, Was has smooth defensive actions and throws with an easy arm action. Was has good arm strength with carry on his throws. He is a good student.
