Jake Miller is a 2020 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Brooksville, FL who attends Frank W. Springstead. Flashed an medium to large frame with a lanky, athletic build. Some room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.25 second sixty yard dash. Primary Righthanded pitcher utilizing a belt high leg lift with a balanced motion throughout delivery. Simple, smooth mechanics that showed as repeatable. Medium arm circle in the back delivering from a true three-quarter slot. Finished square to the plate upon delivery. Stayed around the zone at all times with good feel for a three pitch mix. Fastball up to 73 MPH with some arm side run. Curveball was his best offspeed pitch as he started his outing with it. Showed an 11-to-5 movement with depth and a changeup he showed at times that he showed more trust in as his outing went on. Secondary Outfielder working aggressively to and through the baseball. Whippy arm with an over the top release proving to be accurate around the bag. Low and hard throws. Righthanded hitter starting a bit upright before working into a smaller leg kick and stride. Flashed a slight bat wrap over the head with a longer swing path. Opposite field approach as he looked to drive the baseball on a line. Outstanding Student.
