Reid Ross is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Argyle, TX who attends Argyle. Primary LHP, long slim frame projects well with good use of the levers. Soft step operation was repeated well with a clean delivery. Arm path is quick with a 3/4 slot and fluid release spinning a tight 11/5 breaking ball with bite. He topped the fastball out 84 with good plane and overall solid pitchability. In the outfield his actions were geared toward the good arm strength, the glove work is playable with good downhill action. Right-handed hitter has a loose swing more contact oriented. Rotational swing with a simple path has ability to find some heavy barrels and flashed strong carry when he connects clean. Good student.
