Frankie Ferrentino is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from East Longmeadow, MA who attends Suffield Academy. Recorded a 7.55 second sixty-yard dash time. Strong, durable frame with present lower half strength and mature look. Primary catcher that receives from an exaggerated and high side-saddle stance with some softness to his hands. Energetic actions out of the crouch to gain ground towards his target with good direction and fairly quick mid-line transfers. Exhibits ability to get on top of the baseball, while displaying a short arm action and some present arm strength up to 78 mph during drills. Secondary third baseman with good reactions to field, clean funnel out in front and the ability to change arm angles when necessary. Displayed deliberate footwork throughout with segmented movements into release. Recorded arm strength up to 72 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Aggressive, intent based swing with rotational lower half components, present bat speed and strength through contact. Leveraged stroke with developing bat-to-balls skills and legitimate power potential to the pull-side. Exhibited ability to create loud impact with carry to the gaps when squared and on-time. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments mechanically to help with consistency. Strong, physical prospect with solid catch-and-throw skill set and some upside at the plate. Good Student.
