Grant Metten is a 2023 3B/C/1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Parish Episcopal. Ran a 7.77 second sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman that has a medium frame and build. Has slow and controlled footwork with sure hands and sound actions to and through the ball. Has developing arm strength with some present carry to accurate throws up to 70 miles per hour. Secondary catcher that starts from a high, even stance. Replaces feet well and gains ground to second base. Has longer arm action and developing arm strength with accurate throws up to 68 miles per hour. Recorded a 2.20 second pop time. Also worked out in the outfield and featured a clean approach to the ball with a big crow hop and accurate throws to bases with some present carry. At the plate, has an open stance from the right side of the plate. Has some present strength and stays under control while still generating some bat speed. Swing projects well with a pull side to middle of the field approach. Good student.
