2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Zach Lebenson is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter. Big and strong young build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a short front leg lift and glide into contact, short swing path to the ball with an inside swing path, pull side to up the middle contact, best swings are when he's getting good extension out front and driving his hands through the ball, has the strength and base swing mechanics to continue to grow as a hitter. 7.79 runner in the sixty, showed very nice defensive actions at first base, mature footwork with quick and soft hands at the ball, good arm strength for the position, definitely an asset at first base defensively, can probably play solid third base as well. Took a turn on the mound, up tempo delivery with some energy at release, front half is inconsistent out front in his stride length and firmness landing, repeated his arm action and release well and showed athleticism. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, worked his fastball to both sides of the plate well. Curveball was a solid second pitch with good spin and depth, reliever profile on the mound but has some ability there moving forward. Good student.
