Samin Bhalla is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Pleasanton, CA who attends Bentley. Large frame with an athletic build. Square shoulders as well as some room to fill out. Ran a 7.53 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Aggressive close to the baseball with a funnel off to the side. Compact exchanges with quickness into getting to a lower three-quarter arm slot. Throws topping out at 74 MPH. Also worked out from first base. Fields the ball out in front with some quickness to exchanges. Gets the ball out well. Stays accurate across the diamond topping out at 72 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a wide stance and short toe tap trigger for timing. Line drive barrel plane through the zone with a very compact hand path. Rotational actions into contact working the whole field. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a front foot turn delivery into a leg lift above the belt. Utilizes a slight hip turn over the back side at the gather and working in line to the plate. Longer take back into a three-quarter arm slot. Creates occasional running life on the fastball topping out at 72 MPH. Occasionally works in a curveball with looser spin. Very good student as well.
