Edward Burton is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Recorded an 8.14 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some strength throughout and physicality present. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short turn step into a leg lift at the belt. High three-quarters arm slot with a deliberate tempo. Shorter arm strength with a simple glove tuck with some fall off toward first base. Fastball topped out at 76 mph and had best feel when working to the arm side. Keeps it low in the strike zone and attacked hitters with fastballs primarily. Will improve with additional follow through with the lower half. Arm strength plays from secondary position of first base. Lefthanded hitter with a short, compact stance and is short to the baseball. Narrow start with a longer swing path. Some strength when extended and leads with the top hand in a contact oriented approach. Good student.
