Parker Willingham is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-2 202 lb. frame from Tuscumbia, AL who attends Deshler. Large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher, beings with a leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside with a hip turn at top; works with a long arm action through the back and gets to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 86 mph and shows heaviness to it through the zone with occasional running life. Effort at release, worked within the strike zone and mixed in a curveball up to 68 mph with short depth and flashed a changeup at 78 mph. Developing footwork at first base coming off the bag, fields it out front and works into a similar arm stroke, shows carry and works on top of the ball, makes the plays. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing and loads hands back at start of swing. Stays short to the ball and looks to create contact out front, can incorporate additional lower half to drive the ball, upper body dominant swing and can work to all fields. Excellent student.
