Michael Liu is a 2022 RHP/C, 3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins. Large frame with lean, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.60 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, overtop arm stroke with high leg kick and hip turn, online delivery, repeats mechanics well, good downhill plane, fastball worked 68-69 mph, attacked hitters with the fastball, curveball thrown for strikes consistently, good control overall, pounded the zone. Hits from even-based stance with high back elbow, drops hands into load, slight uppercut to swing path, stays compact with hands, flashed some power to pull. Worked out in the infield, shows range to both sides, hands work well out front, fields cleanly and clocked up to 65 mph on accurate throws. Excellent student.
