Miguel Salas is a 2024 3B/IF with a 5-7 143 lb. frame from Calexico, CA who attends Calexico. Young, square shouldered frame with long limbs and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.83 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, shows smoothness to funnel working into arm action, occasionally gets under throws and arm strength will continue to develop across. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a medium hand set in the box; upright stance and utilizes a subtle leg lift for timing at the plate. Keeps hands inside throughout swing with a long path through the zone. Can continue to incorporate additional weight shift through lower half, best contact when working on a linear plane, does a nice job of staying direct to the baseball with hands and can work the middle and opposite parts of the field.
