Alberto Santos IV is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from San Marcos, TX who attends San Marcos. Medium build with some strength for his age. Has good footwork at first base defensively, fields the ball out front with good hands. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance, keeps his swing short to the ball, middle of the field approach, best when he's hitting through the ball and getting extension out front, has the strength to continue to open up his swing, flashed his power potential during the games. Also pitched, has clean and repeatable mechanics with a short arm action from a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight, still developing secondary pitches. Good student.
