Malachi Butler is a 2027 SS/2B/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern. Outstanding athletic build with length, strength and tons of physical projection. 6.87 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, athletic movement patterns with ease to the actions, very clean overall round with effortless carry across the diamond. Just flicked balls across the diamond at 90 mph, projects to stick at shortstop. Left-handed hitter, higher hands tight to the body, short stride out into contact, middle of the field approach and has elite barrel control. Low effort swing and produces carry to both gaps. Very simple and functional swing, has continued to grow into more power. Very good student with a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
