Jackson Turnbull is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Pittsburg, KS who attends Pittsburg. Tall and slender young build, lots of room to get bigger and stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a simple load and swing, handles the barrel well with a short middle of the field line drive approach, high average approach, has more power in there as he gets stronger. 8.33 runner, tends to bend at his waist to field the ball and will learn to bend his knees as he grows into his body. Also pitched, works from a closed stretch position, gets on line and stays on line well, low elbow 3/4's arm slot, pulls down his front side hard. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, had consistent cutting action on his fastball that was an effective weapon, short breaking slider that was similar to his cutter. Good student.
