Elbert Craig is a 2024 1B/RHPOF with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Pantego Christian Academy. Extra-large frame with a very physical build. Good athlete for size, ran a 6.86 second 60-yard dash and shows it in game. Primary first baseman, good at the position and around the bag, clean feet and excellent glove work, comfort on the move and arm plays well from the spot. Also plays some outfield, moves to the ball well and carries through his release, huge arm strength up to 93 on bullets to bags, significant carry from a short-arm release. Right-handed hitter, spread start and lets the strength work, monstrous physicality in the box, works on a level path and hammers baseballs all over the field, swings it hard with excellent barrel accuracy and big bat speed, didn't leverage enough to send balls out of the yard but produced big exit velocities on most of his contact, 100+ off a tee in PG Tech, top of the class power upside and found the barrel a good bit in game action. Verbal commitment to Texas A&M. Named to 2022 High School All State Top Prospect List.
