Cole Beck is a 2022 OF/C with a 6-0 183 lb. frame from Princeton, NJ who attends Hopewell Valley Central. Medium, athletic build with strength remaining to be added to frame. Ran a 7.59-second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short arm action with carry-on throws. Gets on top of ball well, throws were up to 78mph. Bit of an uphill release, the addition of arm strength will even out release point. Secondary catcher, starts from a high set, gains some ground towards bags. Shorter arm action with accurate throws around the bags, clocked a 2.01 pop time with his throws at 76 mph. Projects better behind the plate. Right-handed hitter, starting from a narrow, open stance with a high back elbow and high-hand set. Uphill swing plane, lifting the ball out to the outfield. Some present strength with barrel quickness. Exaggerated leg-lift-trigger causes timing to be a tick off on occasions. Simplification of swing mechanics would result in harder hit line drives.
