Michael Steinberg is a 2021 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Beaverton, OR who attends Mountainside. Primary right-handed pitcher with tall frame and lean build. Long arm action from a three-quarters slot. Slow delivery with a front side that opens early at times, landing with linear direction at foot strike and getting some extension over the front side. Developing command of the fastball at 76-to-78 miles per hour. The curveball is the best pitch at this time, with slurvy shape at 68 miles per hour. Secondary infielder, glove works well with smooth movements and throws from a high three-quarters slot at 74 miles per hour. Funnels out front with clean and simple actions, makes accurate throws to bases. Slightly crouched and even stance at the plate with a rotational lower half and high back elbow. Stays on back side with a loose hand path to contact and line drive barrel plane. Coils hands slightly at load, letting the front side fly open early at times. Middle of the field approach. Ran a 7.49 second sixty-yard dash.
