Joey Morris is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Kickapoo. Shorter slender build. 7.22 runner, attacks the ball aggressively in the outfield and works through it with athletic actions, good momentum through his throws, quick release, can improve his accuracy, has fast twitch actions. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base and shows quick hands, swings with intent and creates very good bat speed for his size, has the ability to drive the ball into the gaps, very sound hitting approach that works for him. Also pitched, works from the far first base side of the rubber, big leg raise delivery with an over the top release, working from the middle of the rubber would benefit him. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight, threw a short downer slider for strikes. Good student.
