Tyler Hester is a 2025 C/RHP/IF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Slender young athletic build with plenty of physical projection. Right handed hitter, hits from a very open stance with a well timed close into his swing, inside swing path with a mid-field to opposite field orientation, repeats his swing mechanics well, has loose hands and good barrel skills and adjustability, drove one ball hard to right center in the games that went all the way to the wall for an inside the park home run. 7.71 runner in the sixty. Has good lower half actions behind the plate, comes out of his crouch well, gains ground on his throws with an idea on his footwork, long arm action with developing arm strength, plenty athletic enough to continue to improve with strength and physical maturity. Also pitched, over the top arm action with good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 72 mph and did a good job of throwing strikes to both halves of the plate with his fastball. Developing feel for his curveball release point. Very good student.
