Andrew Bond is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-1 235 lb. frame from Waterville, OH who attends Anthony Wayne. Large and sturdy frame. Ran an 8.18 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works from a crossfire delivery down the mound, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a low 3/4 arm slot, showed the ability to pitch from multiple arm angles, developing arm speed through the back, creates some angle to the plate. Threw two pitches for strikes in his fastball and slider, fastball topped out at 68 mph, mixed in a slider with developing spin in the mid-50s, worked best from a side arm slot creating deception to righthanded hitters. Secondary first baseman, fields the baseball out in front, flashed clean hands then taking his arm back to a similar arm stroke as on the mound. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a wide base at the plate, utilizes a toe tap trigger used for timing, hits the baseball out in front with developing bat speed ad a flat barrel path, showcased some strength at contact when hitting the ball out in front.
