Carter Jorissen is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA who attends Tesoro. Primary catcher with a medium frame and developing athleticism. Has a stiffer stance behind the plate, gaining ground to second base and replacing the feet well. Throws to second from a compact, three-quarters slot up to 67 miles per hour. Secondary third baseman with slow and deliberate actions. Funnels out front with heavier footwork. Developing arm strength on accurate throws across the diamond at 69 miles per hour. Has a crouched and even stance at the plate with a rotational lower half and deep hand load. Stays on back side throughout swing, has a line drive barrel plane and middle of the field to pull side approach. Still developing use of the lower half. Developing bat speed and barrel control that will get better with added size and strength. Good student.
