Luke Kuennen is a 2020 C/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Dubuque Senior. Large frame with broad shoulders. Ran a 7.88 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Receives out front and into exchanges. Gains short ground to the bag with quick feet through transfers. Accurate to the bag with arm strength topping out at 77 miles per hour and popping a 2.00 during workouts. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and leg lift trigger for timing. Works through a line drive plane with consistent barrel turn out front. Shows feel for the barrel making hard contact. Stays in the middle of the field producing natural leverage off the bat. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a leg lift above the belt. Lands in line to the plate down the mound with a medium stride. Compact arm action in the back with some wrist wrap and into a three-quarter slot. Works a lot to the glove side with the fastball touching 80 miles per hour. Secondary option in an 11-to-5 curveball with average depth and some tightness to spin.
