Robert De La Torre is a 2024 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Mira Loma, CA who attends Norco. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a leg lift trigger, pre-loads to his back side, swings hard with a middle of the field line drive approach, created some leverage and extension out front, should continue to improve as a hitter with additional strength. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Has quick athletic actions in the outfield, aggressive to the ball with a quick transition into his throws, strong fundamentals overall. Took a turn on the mound, deep arm action with a short cross fire landing out front and a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, went often to a slow sweeping breaking ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
