Jack Devin is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Brookfield, CT who attends Brookfield. Recorded a 7.48 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with present athleticism and room to add strength. Primary outfielder, gets behind the well, fields off front foot properly with well-maintained momentum through release, online and accurate throws recorded up to 86 miles per hour in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch with a simple belt high leg lift and efficient movements down the slope. Throws from a loose three-quarters arm slot with a quick arm action on the backside. Strike thrower that consistently pounded the outer half of the plate with his fastball that worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 80 miles per hour. Secondary offerings are still in the developmental stages with a well-replicated changeup being the better of the two at present. Does show feel for spin with a varying shped breaking ball that flashes horizontal tilt on occasion. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high back elbow and hover leg lift trigger for timing. Lofted stroke with developing feel for his barrel and consistent bat-to-ball skills. Middle-of-the field approach with the ability to impact baseball out in front with good extension through contact. Solid overall skill set with the potential to improve with the proper swing adjustments and added strength. Good Student.
