Colton Knight is a 2020 RHP with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from West Jefferson, OH who attends West Jefferson. Extra large and sturdy frame. Ran an 8.94 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, stays tall on his backside at balance point while taking his arm back to a full arm action, separates his hands early at take back, lands open down the mound on a soft front leg, utilizes some back leg drive with developing arm speed through the back. Fastball topped out at 72 mph with occasional life to armside, mixed in a curveball with developing spin, worked around the zone and varied speeds during his outing. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a closed stance, takes a downhill swing plane to the baseball, young bat speed with a developing use of lower half into swing, will improve with additional weight shifted into contact adding bat speed and pop off of the barrel. Outstanding student.
