Lukas Pirko is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Vista Murrieta. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.46 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, does a nice job of working down the mound and remains on line, shorter arm stroke through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Varies tempo with intent and shows fluidity to delivery. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, short running life to arm side down in the zone, works around front side at release with extension out front. Mixed a curveball with 12-6 shape, slightly higher slot at release with some bite and depth to the bottom of the zone. Takes short steps moving towards the ball in the infield, fields it out front and gathers well, some bend at waist, works on top of throws well with an extra step prior to release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with an upright stance; utilizes a high leg lift trigger and transfer weight well through lower half. Long swing path through the zone and shows looseness coming through the zone with fluidity, shows bat speed and will continue to develop. Creates occasional back spin to pull side when squared. Excellent student.
