2007 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Michael Zeblo is a 2009 3B/P with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Broughton HS. He is a young 2009 prospect but has a very mature frame for his age with nice present strength. Zeblo is a switch hitter with similar approaches from both sides of the plate. He got a bit out of his envelope during batting practice and tried to hard to lift the ball and his swing got very long. During games Zeblo showed very good bat speed, especially from the left side of the plate, and squared up on the ball well. He has power that should continue to develop and is a good looking young hitter. Zeblo's defensive actions at third base were solid, he charged the ball well and got rid of his throws cleanly with some zip on them. Zeblo also pitched and showed a good idea on the mound and promising arm strength. He threw 2-seamers at 81 mph and 4 seamers at 84 and snapped off some sharp curveballs. Zeblo is a nice young prospect with tools and skills across the board. He is also an outstanding student. Zeblo was named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
