Dillon DeSpain is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 142 lb. frame from Hawthorne, CA who attends Mira Costa High School. Recorded a 7.06 second 60-yard dash time. Tall and lanky build with very good athleticism and tons of room to fill out. Primary righthanded pitcher who stands tall on the mound with a leg lift to the belt. Full arm stroke from an over the top arm slot. Easy and simple to repeat mechanics. Fastball topped out at 81 mph and the changeup showed some deception. Curveball is a looser offering and projects nicely on the mound. Secondary outfielder with aggressive actions and a quick arm. Keeps the ball low and the arm strength showed up to 87 mph from the position; also worked out in the infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a hanging stride into contact. Longer swing with a clean path and some young bat speed. Good student. Named to the 14u National TP List.
