Christian Loercher is a 2022 C/3B, OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Brentwood, CA who attends Liberty. Compact frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Worked out of crouch with smooth paced footwork. Clean, loose glove circle and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws created occasional carry to the bag topping at 63 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a linear barrel plane through extension. Showed developing feel for the barrel while consistently working to the middle of the field. Flashed the hands speed to turn the barrel and work to the pull side gap as well. Good student.
