Jordan Rorex is a 2009 MIF/OF with a 6'1'', 155 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Anderson County HS. He has a tall, thin build and a young look to him. Rorex is light on his feet and has athletic actions. He is fast at 6.90 in the 60 and will probably get faster as he gets stronger. Defensively, Rorex has smooth actions in the infield with soft hands and a quick release. His arm strength hasn't started to develop yet and that will be something to watch. Offensively, Rorex has a sound fundamental swing and shows good hand quickness to the ball. He has a hand drop trigger that could get him in trouble against hard stuff but his hands and swing work well for him. Rorex has some lift and extension in his swing and shows flashes of developing power. There is more to come in his bat as he gets stronger. Rorex is a young 2009 as far as his body goes and should be followed closely. He is also a good student.
