2021 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase
Nolan Frasso is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Winchester, CA who attends Chaparral. Primary catcher with a wider base, displays solid footwork and gains good ground towards second base. Comes up on the throws a bit and fades towards his glove side, will improve as he stays directional and low throughout the process. Transfers at the chest with a quick release, throws were on line at 71 mph. Recorded a 2.06 second pop time, developing arm strength with good fundamentals shown. Relaxed and balanced stance while receiving, did a decent job of shifting his weight, had the tendency to let the glove drift when receiving glove side. Right-handed hitter with a compact swing, gets his hands and bat in position well. Did a good job of hitting it where it was pitched, stayed directional and showed great balance and extension. Some bat speed present with more to come as he matures physically, showed some pop and the ability to elevate. Great student.
