Drew Erdei is a 2021 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Tall and rangy frame with broad shoulders and room to project upon physically. Primary lefthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Segmented delivery with a side rocker step into a leg lift above the waist. Slight hip turn at the top with good direction to the plate. Long arm action with a slight stab at the point of separation. Three-quarters arm slot with a full follow through. Good pickoff move to first. Fastball topped at 81 mph with good arm side run. Will work both halves of the plate. Can pitch inside to righthanded hitters and has an idea of how to change speeds. Changeup flashed potential with very slight arm side fade. Curveball shows promise with tight rotation and 2/8 shape and depth. Solid offering he kept down in the zone. Good student.
