Aden Dance is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Bonney Lake, WA who attends Sumner. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Works from the stretch with a sound directional delivery, long stride out front and will get too long at times, medium length arm action to a 3/4's arm slot. Upper 70's fastball, mostly straight, throws strikes with his fastball and works to contact. Tends to slow his arm a bit on his change up. Did not show a breaking ball in this outing, will have to develop one in the future. Graded out higher as a position player at this event. 6.91 runner, showed athletic actions in the middle infield on defense, fields out front with a clean funnel, soft sure hands, has side to side range and is light on his feet, exchange and release is still a bit long. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright open stance with a long stride into contact, foot is late getting down at times, lone line drive swing, upper body swing, generates some bat speed and has some easy adjustments to make to take the next step as a hitter. Good athlete who should continue to develop. Good student.
